Our foundation stock

We had an Irish Red Setter at home. Always being interested in the origin and history of what we own, we discovered the Irish Setter appeared, a long time ago, not only with a whole red colour.

On the contrary, most of the Irish Setters in earlier centuries were parti-coloured dogs, with white base colour and solid red patches on the body, red ears and a red mask around the eyes.
No need to tell what somebody does when interest is growing……..

Only some of these parti-coloured "old fashioned" Irish Setters were left in the years 1960,but interest grew again within the environment of some devoted dog people in Ireland, and some years later also in England. We found them, and imported our first Irish Red & White Setter in 1985 from England: Elaphill the Maverick (dog)

( 13/08/1985   -   21/03/1990 )

In 1986 we imported Chardine Court Crackle (bitch) from England,
and in 1988 we had our first litter.

CHARDINE COURT CRACKLE

( 05/11/1985  -  10/07/1994 )

with two of her children,
  EXCLUSIVE'S MYSTERY-LAD   and   EXCLUSIVE'S MODERN-WAY

Our interest increased, and we made real research in view to understand which dogs we needed for continuing the breed in future on a sound and conscious way, offering a maximum of breeding possibilities.

Several study trips to the Country of origin, Ireland, and also England resulted in other imports. We came in 1987 back from Ireland with Lough Erne Vanity (bitch)

LOUGH ERNE VANITY

( 11/10/1987  -  11/06/1997 )

From Ireland again, we imported Lough Erne Cailin (bitch) in 1990,
and Glennessa Masterplan (dog) from England

LOUGH ERNE CAILIN

   ( 17/10/1990   -   23/04/1996 )

GLENNESSA MASTERPLAN

  ( 13/07/1990   -  29/08/2002 )

Our Exclusive’s kennel has future in mind. After some generations of breeding, renewing is a necessity. Enlarging the gene pool and creating breeding possibilities with quality on the first place, belong to one of our most important and elementary occupations.

In March 2000 we  imported Ardbraccan Gaelic Legacy (bitch) from Ireland again.

ARDBRACCAN GAELIC LEGACY

(  30/09/1999 - 08/11/2005 )

In view to enlarge as much as possible our breeding possibilities, we understood the necessity of additional renewal.  After  having been in search during more than 2 years we found exactly what we needed.

On January 5th 2006 we imported a new puppy dog :

Autumnwood Gold Award.

It was real world news in the environment of dog people, when in 1992, two Irish Red & White Setters were born from Red Setters in Red Setters, and in earlier times both were some times mixed together (see historHolland ( 1 dog and 1 bitch)As the Red and White Setter is also at the origin of the y), the birth of these "special" Red & Whites was the exceptional result of recessive factor. The old authentic Red and White blood came out again after many generations.

Our kennel bought them, worked for official registration,- and received !!-, of these Red & Whites, and kept the bitch, which has been integrated in our breeding programme

Pallas Green Athena made history all over the world.

All these different imports were carefully chosen on base of pure authenticity and origin, quality and breeding possibilities for the future. They all have uninterrupted connection back to the years 1790. This, together with a 32 years experience and effort, resulted in unequalled successes of our breeding in both, exhibitions and hunting competitions.
